Me again.
As I mentioned earlier, I spent yesterday afternoon at FBass and had a blast. Marcel was cool enough to put up with me and my bass geek questions for a couple of hours while George built my ramp and fixed a small finish issue. Jeff, Tom and the rest of the FBass gang (I forget everyone's names!) are all great. They obviously love what they do. Jeff and I even talked about and looked at wooden pickup covers for an abnormally long time. Only demented bass geeks would talk about something like PU covers for ages. Thanks Jeff! (Jeff is a TB stalker, so I know he will read this.

).
In any case, my ramp is perfect as are the chip repairs. George is a master for sure. It took him a good 90+ minutes to get the ramp and repairs done and the cost was less than expected.
The basses coming out of FBass these days are just amazing. The new finishes and wood options are super cool. Also, George may or may not have mentioned something about the possibility of a headless travel bass down the road.
Here are my crappy iPhone pics. Enjoy!

Wood (FBass has enough ebony and rosewood to last longer than me!):
Maple for necks:
Necks!
Ash neck (cool upgrade and I love the ebony!):
The shop:
Forget what wood this is but it is the first time it was used on an AC as I recall. Looks like walnut but not sure it actually is. Amazing top in any case!
An amazing neck thru for NAMM. Is this the rosewood? Don't remember. Killer in any case!

One of the coolest FBasses I have ever seen! Roasted neck PJ5. Super cool top too (rosewood?). This will be unreal when completed:
Dave Swift's new bass without the cool PU cover. It is big to accommodate a P, MM or other PUs. The neck is just stupid. He must be a huge dude as the neck is massive. Baseball bat:
Alain Caron's new bass:

Basses:
One of the coolest basses I have seen. A 29" scale BN4. Almost cute but is as quality a bass as any other FBass. Not cheap though. Too bad as it would be the ultimate travel bass!
There you have it!
