Can the necks on the BN series be replaced. I've always wondered as there are screws on the back of the neck but it looks like it's also recessed and maybe glued into the body? Good to know if I ever damage the neck. Jim
Comes off but it is tight. The previous owner of my BN5 did a tiny bit of finish damage to the body removing it.
I can post a pic of a removed neck later if that would help....

It is a knock off neck made for a BN5 that came with my fretless when I bought it used, but you get the idea.
It fits on the bass but I personally haven't installed it.
Interesting, the tongue isn't as long as I would have thought by looking at the back of my BN5. Do you know who made the neck? JimHere u go.

No clue, but it is terrible. Off centre inlays, etc.
I wouldn't buy a neck from the maker in any case.
Totally agree, and in all the years I've been on TB that is the only after market neck for an F bass I've ever seen!1 Jim
Hi all, just received my new lefty BNF-5 today! Faded blue, ash body wings with enhanced grain, flame maple tone block. So good to be back in the F Bass family. Could I get a number please?
Yup. It's 100% terrible but was included with the bass. It won't be going on my FBass on my watch in any case.
Reusable Gotoh tuners and firewood basically.

I lived in Parksville for a year in the early 90's. Gorgeous spot!
After a few weeks with my fretless BN5, I am loving it. Great tone, crazy comfortable neck and amazing balance for a 10- ish pound bass.
I really miss having a ramp though. Luckily I live near the shop and will be dropping by in a couple of days so George can build me a ramp.
Once the ramp is on, it might just be the perfect fretless.
