I saw somewhere that new builds got shipped around 6-8 months ago, if I remember correctly. How long have you been waiting for him to reply, and what was your topic of conversation the last time you reached out?
I reached out in the third week of December 2024, and a week and a half ago, asking for any kind of update whatsoever. The last time I heard from him was January 22, 2024, stating that the OTM matching headstock was still a problem.
The last time I spoke to him about my OTM, and he told me about the headstock issue, I was ready to ask if he could just give it to me with a natural headstock, but pictures followed not long after and it was sent to me.
My headstock is color is slightly darker than the body but nothing I'd lose sleep over. I am quite particular about things, but I could live with this. It makes you wonder how much of a perfectionist YJ is, and if that is getting in the way of getting some basses out the door.
Besides, from what I read, Fender was dealing with this same issue in the 60's.
I wonder if you could get some pics out of them and maybe you could decide for yourself. Not sure how much luck you would have if they are not responding to emails though.

Hey all, just wanted to chime in quickly... I had the opportunity to take in a Moollon in trade, and I did. It's a JV and I have to say...I am seriously impressed. I had already messaged the kind folks at Moollon about a 4 build, and the V only underscores, highlights, and italicizes my want for a Moollon

For the guys talking about OTM, there's a gorgeous used P-Classic IV just listed on Craigslist in Brooklyn. I bet it won't last long!
I have a three P Classic IVs and would consider letting one go - shoreline gold, dakota red, and fiesta red. However, due to PP/shipping fees - and lowered 1099 reporting threshold - I'd prefer to do an in-person transaction. I'm in Kentucky but will be in Nashville later this month. PM me if interested! Might also consider trading towards a Castedosa bass (long shot but figured I'd put that out there).
Dude, seriously. Someone might want to do a wellness check on Andi. I have a bass that was finished, I paid the remaining balance on January 1, and I'm still waiting to hear any shipping details.
Do you guys experience any hum on your P-Classic? Mine is pretty loud when using headphones.. When i touch the bass/knobs it gets quiet but when it just sits in my lap it's really loud. Got my bass a year ago and I havent noticed it earlier so I'm honestly not sure if it's always been there or if it has occured lately..
If it quiets when you touch the strings or knobs, you are completing the ground and this is normal ops. Carry on.
