Dude, seriously. Someone might want to do a wellness check on Andi. I have a bass that was finished, I paid the remaining balance on January 1, and I'm still waiting to hear any shipping details.
Oh, I'm waiting it out! I've been waiting since early January 2021. What's a few more months? I have not had the opportunity to put my hands on a Moollon yet, but every time I've seen someone play one live I'm floored. This is THE bass tone. These are good people, and I worry too, since to say that Moollon is "coping" with its success is putting it mildly.
With this many back orders bearing down on them, and the general sense that YJ has chosen a system of grouping jobs together by task (in the name of "efficiency") which he doggedly sticks to no matter how untenable it has become, and with unfulfilled orders dating back to 2020 with no change in strategy, you'd think they would both be in the fetal position right now.
If you're happy to wait it out, and it's no skin off your nose, more power to you. On the one hand, you have YJ's commendable integrity; these instruments are intended to always be built by one man, in the way he thinks they should be done. And there is the idea that it's a passion project, which can yield something of greater worth to the buyer AND the maker. Those of us lucky to have one (or several) can feel that. But this is just getting silly. Perhaps to the astonishment of YJ himself, Moollon has become a real businessādragged, screaming into being though it may be. And there are those who will claim that this strategy and philosophy are beyond reproach. I think that's jive. For the health of the company and especially that of its head honcho, it needs a way out of this dysfunction that is something other than "let's just ignore it and it'll go away".
Yes, this.Let's hope that everything is going well with YJ and Andi.

Exactly! I really never thought of that before.Itās probably difficult for a business to admit they are so behind they no longer have time or ability to check on your order progress and give updates.
Can you share anything he communicated to you, about your order or things in general? It may help the rest of us curiously waiting to know how he answered any of your questions.Andi texted me this morning.
