Club Moollon

You'll definitely be told it's a heretic thing  but hey it's your bass do what you want!

I have a real hard time believing the alloy of the tuners affects the sound in any meaningful way.
Get the Res-O-Lites (which I found to be excellent tuners), and pop the Moollon tuners in your case. Easy.

The one I noticed is that the Moollon tuners on my J and P are noticeably lighter than the heavy tuners on my Fender Custom Shop basses - so I am not sure how much weight you will save.

Kind of a shot in the dark, but here goes. I'm looking to trade my 2020 P-Classic (Inca Silver w tort PG) for another P-Classic but with a J-classic neck. I know there are a few of them out there. If you're so inclined, please get in touch with me.

Here's an older pic that I could find on my phone. If actually interested, I can send updates.

I looked at the original invoice and it's actually from May 2018.

Hi Moollon people,

I haven't posted pictures of this bass yet, so here are a few. Which colour pickguard do you prefer with the Ocean turquoise and block inlays (tortoise, white, mint or black)?

I love this bass, the fretboard is gorgeous, and it feels great to play. But it's not my primary bass and finances being tight these days, I am starting to think I might have to sell it. The price would have to be quite high for me to want to send it away, though.

The block inlays and binding options have been discontinued and the waiting time being what it is, how much do you think I could hope for it? This is a painful process, so I thought I’d start by a post here before deciding to list it for real (I received the bass end of 2023)…

I’m a tort fan, but the white (parchment, mint?) looks cool as well. …not black, IMO. Nice color!

I wrote on the fb page but need to know from users here as well. What is the status with deliveries?
I have an order from September 2021.
I asked some questions about 2 years ago but I am awaiting answer since then. Wrote again a few months ago with no answer as yet. Who got a Moollon lately and when was your order placed? No hard feelings here but would really like to know

Think I'd vote for mint on this one.

I am a huge mint green fan - but for this bass, black gets my vote. Different.

Tort. All day, every day.

Hey all,

For those that have opted for a refund of their deposit, can I ask how long the process took? I had an acknowledgement from Andi on my refund request back on March 6th, but have had nothing since, despite multiple messages requesting an update.

It’s really a bummer to watch this all unfold in real-time. My Moollon (which I purchased from a fellow TB’er) is a great bass, but there are a lot of great basses out there that don’t involve multi-year waits and bad communication.

It’s a personal project (perhaps even a ‘mission’) of an artistic soul more than it is an actual business. If you frame it that way, it’s easier to put into perspective one’s feelings about how it is run. And in that way, everyone who loves their Moollon is lucky to have it.
