Has anyone here been able to compare in person the charcoal frost to the charcoal pearl (Scott Devine color)? I have pictures from YJ to compare but just looking for opinions. I've always leaned towards darker finishes but in person I tend to find them a little too dark in person since everyday lighting doesn't do a finish justice.

That looks like Mitch Starkman on the far left. I met him at the F-bass shop in Hamilton, Ontario (my home town) a few years ago.

I don’t recognize the thinning hair turning to grey from the back, but I can confirm that’s my brown leather jacket that the guy is wearing.....he’s probably telling YJ how good his basses are.

Anyone here know about how much it cost for the import/duties fees from Moollon to the US? I'm just waiting on an email back to pay my deposit for my P Classic IV build and want to have an idea of what my overall cost might be.

I didn't pay anything. Just paid Moollon for the bass and picked it up from the post office when it arrived.

That's cool then, thanks for that info. I had to pay a small amount for a Barefaced cab from the UK but that's been my only international purchase so far.

I'm just impatiently waiting for an email back to pay my deposit and get it going!

When I ordered my J-Classic IV in late December Andi told me that US customers didn't have to pay any import duties or taxes that he was aware of.

It's been hit or miss for me when it comes to getting things. I ordered some pedals and got tagged with fees/taxes on some but others were no charge. I guess it depends on whether customs gets involved?

Great price on the first factory Longhorn B524, and if I'm not mistaken it might have been the actual Root Beer Sparkle Longhorn B524 that was shown at Winter NAMM 2015(?), seen on the lower left, before returning to the Moollon shop and then heading off to its first owner in NYC:

Back to the Reverb ad...If that's the original bridge (which it appears to be), then it should be as you have noted.

By principle of keeping things consistently vintage-minded among 4 and 5 stringed Moollon basses, YJ selected 19mm to be the spacing for them all, and all Moollon basses should measure up with the pole pieces / saddles if strung up as done in the shop/by your friendly neighborhood repairperson. Be it the 1960s steel alloy spiral saddles or the 1970s single-groove saddles (YJ doesn't prefer the tone of the plated 1970s saddles, but they're available upon request for those that want to go that route), it's the same for all and there are no other bridge options.

Andi wasn’t that from 2017? I remember what was in the booth that year including the 2 pickup P IV Classic and that beautiful P V with the brownburst finish I couldn’t stop playing the P V that year and now own one just like it

From what I have read, they will only use Ash on transparent finishes. All opaque finishes are Alder.

Seafoam Green or Surf Green?

More interested in this contrast with the white of the PG:

But I've seen photos of @uwrossl 's Surf Green that look like the sea foam photo in #1:

even though I'm confident YJ's Surf Green is the 2nd photo. But I know it's not right, because the headstock is not that Moollon-standard golden-honey yellow, leading me to think this photo is overexposed and the white balanced wasn't nailed. Surf/Seafoam green is the hardest to photograph.
