Gorgeous, my recent order is the charcoal pearl with the tort pick guard. Also went with the matching headstock. Can't go wrong with the 3 silver metallic finishes, I'm just at the beginning of the wait but that pic is making me want mine now!
Hard to put into words how much faster these Moollon necks feel after going at them with a 320-grit wet sanding. They both feel like my Sadowsky at this point, while maintaining everything I love about them. I’m tempted to take them down to the wood, and go the oil + wax route, but I’m currently hesitant to deploy the nuclear option.
I've heard of people using 3M Scotch-Brite to take the gloss of necks. Anyone tried that with a Moollon?
I started with a maroon, then a grey Scotch Brite on my P. I only switched to the wet/dry paper on my J for a little extra grit, as was recommended by Roger Sadowsky in the past. Much of a difference? Not really. Either is fine.

BTW the last 2 weeks have been quite active, with the quick back-and-forth of a lot of serious discussions leading up to deposits placed, and so it looks like we're undergoing the 2nd Surgio of the past 6 months >_<
Of course people don't plan on a collective surge, but it seems the relative quiet of "normal" once-week orders we were receiving in March and April is very much over, and as of early-mid May, people have coincidentally been rushing to get theirs in. Build time estimates (as vague as they always are) were seeming to want to dip below 11 months, but that isn't certain right now.

I've got a P Classic IV as well as a Serek Midwestern and they feel very different. But that's a long scale to a short scale. Not sure which Serek you have or which Moollon you are looking at.
i have the same bass that Scott Divine has and same color. i loveit!
Andi sent me that exact photo and some others to help me make the decision. That one there definitely helped my choice.
Are you still deciding or have you chosen a color? I like both the Charcoal Frost and Charcoal Pearl. I don't think you could go wrong with either one really, it just depends on how dark of a grey you like.
