Yeah, I see he uses the Moollon neck on his P bass of doom but the body is nowhere to be seen. He never seems to settle with a bass for very long. Embarrassment of riches I guess. He can switch to a different one every day of the week and buy new ones whenever he wants.
On a positive note, I did have the forum mod on Scott's Bass Lessons ask him about Moollon basses several months back and he said it was a really good P bass.
I went with charcoal pearl and the matching headstock. I really like the regular charcoal frost but it can be a bit dark with regular lighting. I figured the pearl is in the middle.
it sounds like Moollon P necks tend to be a little slimmer (on average) than the ones Fender turns out, is that accurate?
As a followup to this question, I did hear back from Andi overnight. They have had server problems which resulted in the delay. Andi mentions that despite the problems with the COVID they are proceeding with builds on schedule. Hope this helps.

The got slammed with a bunch of small orders for PUP's etc. Andi hit me back today and he's hustlin to get back to everyone.

wondering if anyone has a moollon P bass in or around new orleans i could check out. i played one but the finish was beat up in spots on the neck that didn't give me a good feel of it.
I’m taking the plunge. Anyone wanna offer support? Going for a classic P bass. It’s gonna replace my American standard P bass. Anyone else get rid of their fenders for a moollon? Everyone still loving theirs?

Hoping for a July delivery. I can't sell basses, I always regret it.
I sold an American standard P after going through several of them for a Moollon. I stopped looking for P basses once I got my P Classic IV last September. I finally had the tone, look and feel that I was chasing. Fantastic instruments and Andi is and has been exceptional to work with.

I’m still loving my Moollon classic P-IV after two years with it. Before my Moollon, I went through about 4-5 American standard Fender P basses before I found and settled on one I really liked. That Fender bass feels and sounds better with rounds rather than flats after having tried a bunch of strings out, and the Moollon seems like it’s made for flats after trying a bunch of strings on that. So I decided to keep the American Standard Fender P for a more modern P sound with rounds, and the Moollon as my more classic sounding P with flats. I play my Moollon 90% of the time, and it’s my favorite looking, sounding, and feeling bass out of the 4 that I own. But sometimes I need a modern P sound with round wounds, so I’m not selling my lone Fender, which is also a rare model out of a batch of only 150 made. (2012, Hand stained mahogany)
Yes, those pants are very rare and don’t pop up in the wild too often.
Beyond loving mine. I've played vintage Fenders, which can be fairly inconsistent. New Fenders including CS, and about a decade ago owned a US Lakland Bob Glaub. The Moollon smokes all of them, and I feel like it's the most bang for your buck that can get in a vintage style bass. You won't regret it!
