Club Owner Made My Night!

Saturday night we played a new (to us) club! The owner is a pro drummer and provides a full kit and PA! I am a guitar player turned bass player who started playing bass in March! I walked off the stage during our first break and the owner walked up to me and said "Man, you are solid as a rock"! I thanked him and told him I work hard at it! He is putting us in his regular rotation with 3 other bands! It feels good when someone notices your hard work! I have a LONG way to go, but man that felt good!

Guitarist turned bass player, welcome to the club of 99.9% bass players who are turned guitar players. Now you're holding a real axe, not that little fish hook. ! :bassist:

Awesome, keep up the good work, the right people are noticing!

Congratulations on the compliment and on getting the repeat gig!

One of my favourite compliments I have received was at the end of the one rehearsal before a sub gig I picked up with players I had never played with before and the singer says to me "I didn't even notice you were there!" (meaning, you played well and fit right in). That's exactly how I want it.
