I'm just grumpy because I am anxious:

Not necessary, I went with a Dakota red body, white pickguard and a blue headstock, in honour of its country of origin!Cool... everything shipped from the US over the 4th of July gets a red, white and blue stripe painted on it. It should look great![]()

Are you Dutch?Sounds like we will have similar delivery dates. Cool! I'll look forward to reading your review. I really dig my RV5. While I'm in Alleva bliss at the moment, I feel this bass will sit right between the 70's vibe of the Alleva and the alder/RW Sadowsky I have currently. Plus, it's orange![]()
My Metro should be here tomorrow. Thank goodness for fedex saturday delivery!
One word. Dibs.I couldn't help myself on this one. I'll call it the 'Frandiaz Special'... non-routed ash, and I'm having the stock pickups swapped out for single coils!

so does that mean the update is for sale![]()
You know, ever since I got the Alleva, the Update has not left the house (although I gig the RV5 a LOT). It's a great bass, but the combination of the 35" scale, the 10+ pound weight, and the uber 'on steriods' tone isn't quite where I'm at currently. I'm going to hold onto it for a while since it is the total bomb for what it is, but my guess is, if I don't start gigging it within 6 months, it will be on the block.
