Well, keep in mind that bart has different J pickup styles, and also does custom winds for LOTS of people.

last time i had them on a bass was in '93, a warwick Thumb 6string.
I hear the same "thing" on youtube, but to be honest, it's to long ago for me to judge...

Anyway, i love the sado's that are in the bass now.

Brief Update...

My Metro M5-24, killed in the production of 'Cats' that I played.

I was a bit nervous about using it on this pop gig (lots of effects/synth sounds on bass) because I thought it might be a bit too modern sounding. I had been wanting some type of PJ-5 for when I take these kinds of gigs, but that GAS was killed. I can honestly say that I don't want another fretted 5 string bass...fretless is a different story. I'll post some YouTube links within the next few days.

Awesomely beautiful bass! Gorgeous flame on that myrtle, and the "racing stripes" are a cool bonus IMHO.

I just missed grabbing #4854 a couple of years ago; up until now that was my favorite. Still gives me bumps, but I think I like the myrtle even better.

Not necessarily... VERY different sounds... not really all that comparable, IMHO. That said, if his tastes have changed, he could choose to switch.

So someone did notice... It's called the 'Courtesy Head'. Only Distributors have them. Their only to be borrowed to customers and artists. Not for sale. I just took a pic with it, when I borrow this. I like the classy look
