Club Sadowsky!!!

I haven't posted mine in a while, so here's a reprise.

The white one is gorgeous!
Congrats!!

Fran - Sounds great! Are you using flats on that PJ in these clips?

Thanks! :)

yeah, Sadowsky flats on both. I love those flats: great tone, perfect tension. I'd love to see Roger releasing another set with a thicker gauge for the G & D strings, just to feel a little more 'meat' under the finger tips, but until that happens these strings are 'me'.

Does anyone how "old" my NYC 5string is?
Serial 2659.
The pickups look newer than the bass and there's VTC installed.

Roog,

2659 was built in August 1997. It originally had Bartolini's in it, so that's why the PU's look newer.

I wanna know how he got a WL preamp in that thing!

Here's the stock page:

I suspected the same, and am also VERY curious to know if I could possibly get ahold of a Will Lee preamp. I think having that mid control would come in handy on an ash/maple spec'd model with HC's, especially when playing on the back pickup.

With Marc Ong on Youtube they sound great too, with my style they don't work to well, less dynamic than the sadowsky pups and less "open".(imho)
They do sound fatter though.:bassist:
Well, keep in mind that bart has different J pickup styles, and also does custom winds for LOTS of people.
