The Sadowsky strap is also slightly wider at its widest point and doesn't seem to stretch quite as much as the Neotech. I'd love it if Neotech made their own branded straps just like the Sad strap, but I still love my Neotech Super Bass straps.

I have been using these sadowsky straps for a few years... I like them way more than the older comfort straps.. They don't fray the way the elastic did on the comfort straps.. and they feel more sturdy along with having that slight flex that makes them so comfy.. I stopped using leather straps a while ago since i think these are not only easy to adjust but after time the leather straps would stretch some....
I have a moody that i no longer use at all.. its nice but i prefer the sadowsky oem type.

Ken - awesome looking bass! The orange really grabbed my eye on the in stock page, looking forward to your review!

Mark - stunning looking bass, nothing more to say:D

And on the straps thing - I used a Comfort Strapp for about 2 years and now i'm using the Sadowsky. I like the Sadowskys feel but it doesn't have as much give as the Comfort... I like the spring in the Comfort but unfortunately i'm right between the sizes; i used the smallest one on on the longest setting for my highest position so i couldn't go any lower...

Lot's of different opinions on the strap. I absolutely love the Comforst Strapp with any bass I own. I've been using one for years now. However, the Sadowsky strap looks interesting, so I might just order one up to check it out. I can't imagine anything being more comfortable than the Comfort Strapp. It has just enough 'give' to never dig into your shoulder, and I've found them to be very high quality... never a problem.

FYI Vic, if you want a thinner Comfort Strapp, you can just order the Guitar model. They are the same as the bass in every way except the width of the strap.

Yeah, I know about the guitar model, but I didn't mean thinner as in narrower, I meant the thickness of the material. The Comfort always just seemed a little bit "bulky" to me. Regarding width, I think the Neotechs are about the same as the Comfort bass models. I just like the way the thinner material conforms just a little better to the contours of my shoulder and neck.

Ha, I misunderstood. Thickness as you define it doesn't really impact the feel of the strap for me at all.

I've been playing bass for 18 years now and never ever dropped a bass, with or without strap locks. Never.

Now you people have started this academic strap discussion.

And so, yesterday night I was recording some stuff in my home studio, with my bass strapped on, and guess what?!

Right! what A major F__K !
Not on the stage, not at a rehearsal. At my home.

NOT my Sadowsky, but still very painful.

Man that's painful! In 36 years of playing it has happened to me twice. Now all my basses have some sort of straplocks installed. It does not matter what brand of bass someone has, when it hits the floor you cringe. Hopefully that nevers happens to you again.
