I like the pearloid:

I'm with Alan on this. I think that the pearl really makes it different. It just seems that all of the LPB basses have tort.

I just got a NYC PJ4 back in '59 burst but its more brown than black/yellow so the spare tort p/g I got doesn't match at all. I'm happy with the pearloid tho' as main p/g.

Dunno if NYC p/g's fit other basses but I could swap it for another?

What would suit it best? White, Parchment? Black?

See, I would think that a brown tort would look really nice on that. After that, it'd be a toss up between the white pearloid that you have or black.

+1 Tort is too dark, and that perloid is way too much bling for that otherwise classic finish. IMO.

I do like the mint, but IMHO that (of course) puts a bit too much of a green cast on the theme and affects the way the blue looks. I MUCH prefer the parchment or plain black.

In this day in age, and with the problems of the world taken into account, it's just damn selfish of me to hoard Sadowsky basses that I don't use on a regular basis on the gig when there are so many needy and hungry bass players around this world who have NO Sadowsky basses and go to bed each night a little incomplete.

Just doing my part for a greater planet.
