When you guys track through a DI direct to the board with your Sadowskys, do you usually bump the on board bass, or record with the preamp flat?

The only one I've tracked so far is the blonde bomber, and I literally don't do anything except drop the passive tone control some depending on how new the strings are. Straight up, into the board, and not even any board EQ. Done.

Yeah the engineer was pretty set on the preamp flat. We probably won't even use any compression. Keep it as natural as possible.
