Gigging and practicing instead of nerding out on TB is the way it's supposed to go... I just haven't figured that out yet is all... ;) :D

I completely understand tho, too... that's a FANTASTIC bass (and a damn nice rig too, IMHO). Why not say "done"?! :)

Anyway, glad you popped in, and glad you're still stoked about what you have... it's a good thing. :)

Those are AWESOME. What I'd like to know is whether the tort lightens from brown to red as a result of the aging process, or is it a trick of the light? I much prefer reddish tort to brownish... reminds me of the '64 P-bass I owned for a long time.

Wow. That's about as 'classic' looking as I'd be willing to go. It's beautiful.

Which reminds me: I envy you guys who can talk about your 'first' Sadowsky and can realistically plan to get another one or two. For me, September's order is essentially my one chance, considering my income, stage in life and er... the daughter who arrived in our lives on August 1st.

So, I've been overthinking the features I want on this thing like you *wouldn't* believe :smug:

If I gigged a lot more, I think I'd be able to justify the drag that saving up for this Sadowsky has been on my finances for the past 5 years.

Heh, maybe I'd better get into a second band again...

I guess I was kind of exaggerating the drag, but not the fact that I'll likely not be getting another one. The 5-year savings plan was so that it wouldn't be a big issue, finance-wise. Also, because it's supposed to be my 40th birthday gift to myself, so I didn't want it to come any earlier.

As soon as we got pregnant, I tossed out a few other future no-essential purchases, though. Nothing makes you re-align your priorities like an impending dependent.

And nothing re-aligns your sleeping schedule like the arrival of said dependent. Sheeezus...
