I asked this same question a few weeks ago but it went unanswered 
I've been paying attention to full size bodies lately (GAS
) and it seems to me like the NYC full size bodies don't have the same size and shape than the UV70s bodies. Am I right? Maybe Rob or Roger can confirm this.
I'm not talking about the usually reduced size bodies but the bodies labeled as full size (see #4817)

I just know your Trans-red/Quilt with White pearl and maple is going to knock me out! Congrats BluesyCat! The last day or two are always the hardest! It will all be worthwhile. Did you opt for Single Coils or Hum cancelling PU's?
Yes, put on D'Addario ProSteels and they brought the Custom Shop back to life with a new tone!!! A bit harsh on the fingers but new tone and renewed love for this bass is well worth it.

I am guessing they had something coming through that met the same specs and just made it his...Lucky you. I am pretty sure, I will be waiting until Jan. Placed my order a couple of weeks ago. Roger said 5 months.
