Although the top on that 5 string Craig is playing is a real beauty, my favorite is Tal's personal bass, even more with her playing it. Everybodu knows I'm addicted to natural ash/ maple combos.

And Tom B...no offense taken, and I'm quite glad that you find Tal more attractive than me. ;)

I've accepted the fact that I'll never have as much chops...or hair...as Tal. :D

I have an NYC Modern 24-5 on order. I posted a pic of the raw body back on the first page of this thread. Kevin just sent me a pic of the sprayed body. Here it is...

Spalted maple on ash body
Birdseye maple fretboard w/vintage tint
Nordstrand Big Singles

Kobass, that's some sick looking spalt. And, I dunno if its just me, but I LOVE the asthetic styling of the Moderns.

I need to ask a question of everyone else here....

It's been about 9-10 months since I snagged mine. In purchasing my UV70, it was the first time I allowed myself to own a "high end" bass. Unfortunately, it makes me want to throw rocks at my Skyline 5'er, which is still a very nice bass.

Did everyone else go thru this, w/ thier first high end bass?

I think I already know the answer, but I guess I'd just like to get some validation from other people's experiences.

Since I got a modern I hardly play my 55-94. Maybe I should get a UV70 too? ;)

Hey...that's my Hand!:D

I tried getting Kevin to take a full shot of my bench so you could see your neck to...but it only got the first 2 frets.

You wanted Gold Hardware...right??:hiding: {Just Kidding}
