I would have had binding put on this also if Roger would have offered. I am different, I love blocks and binding. I also wish I would have went with the upcharge on the BE Maple. ( so it would be more noticable.) But, I love this Bass and have played it @ a show just about every weekend for over a year and a half. Its a keeper.

IMHO, going with a much busier BEM would be a bit much, and possibly detract from its looks in some ways. IMHO it's perfect the way it is.

I really love that bass! and I agree, BEM would be stellar on it too!

This is the kind of flamed maple top that I like; the flames are completely vertical. I can see a PJ4 with a dark finish, ebony fingerboard with no dots and a dark roasted maple neck as my 'tuxedo' Sadowsky.

BTW, I played this one again a bunch this weekend and it just continues to deliver the damage on stage. D and G strings NEVER disappear on me in a bass line, and the B string is a force to be reckoned with. Have to remember to back the VTC off before slapping and popping... generally pretty explosive off this thing... the keyboard player commented.

Damn it's fun to own an MV5 with singles in it... y'know?
