I've been selling off some stuff lately; which, of course, will leave a guy/gal wondering what to do with the paypal balance.

Wow, love the grain on this one! Enjoy and grats to you!

I bought it from the Sadowsky shop in New York, it was used but didn't have a mark on it other than the normal slight pick guard swirl. It came with the HC pickups, I put the single coils in it and I would imagine that's what it still has. I used it at every gig and I'm a full time player. I took very good care of it.
Very nice to meet you as well, all the best.

Thank u David,

How different between HC pickup and single coil Pickup?

Well IME I found the HC pups on the 5 strings to be a little scooped in the mids. Still a great pup but didn't fit my tone goals.
The SC pups has a better mid focus that's great for finger style and still has that grind we all love from a J style bass. There is alot of love in here for the SC pups!

The 4 string pups are a different story. I prefer the HC pups in my Standard 4 strings!

I'd been considering one of the new G&L M2500's, and then saw this bass in classifieds here; and shoved off thoughts of the G&L.

I'm sure the M-Series are nice, and I bet I'd like them more than the L-Series (which I played for decades)...I'd sorta be surprised if this bass and the G&L M-series don't have some sonic similarities; and the Sadowsky won't leave me bothered by the G&L's narrow string spacing...

Congrats Chef. I'm jealous :D. I sold a 24-5 a couple of years ago and have been kicking myself in the a** since. Looked hard at this one but not able to pull the trigger right now. There are some nights when you rerally want "THAT TONE" !!! Mine would give me a deep, warm but VERY edgy aggressive sound without losing it's melodic, musical, "singing" qualities. Not sure how to describe it technically but when I'd hear those sounds it would always make me dig in a little deeper on the instrument and felt soooo good. The reason why we play!!
Hope you get lots'a joy out of it.
Congrats again

JerryZiarko sent me a couple of links to him playing his Modern.
Along with the two clips I posted earlier, my preconceived notions of what that bass "should" sound like have been fairly well changed...
I'll let Jerry post the here if he cares to.

btw: he's a *really good player!*

I am now! Got to admit, it does look cool! For me its kinda sad coz Roger and crew informed me that the material I want my neck and fingerboard to be is not available and doesn't look like they have any orders coming in but hopes to get replenished within the next 60 days. So adding LEDs would push my build even longer

Help me decide please :D
