We played 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, and 8pm, and I probably went through a gallon of G and another gallon of water. They provided beer too, but I wasn't touching any of that in that kinda' heat. It hit upper 90's without the heat index, and we had NO awning covering us. Direct sunlight with occasional cloud cover, but not much. I was wearing wicking sports/workout gear that's designed specifically to keep you cool and breathe and it was still brutal... especially the first two sets. Ouch. And yeah, I'm sure I lost some weight too. Still totally worth it tho.
We finished packing up and then headed off for beers and hot wings to cap off the night and kinda' wind down from being pumped. Great day.
Have just put big singles in my Metro 5-24, alder/morado, and sticking with R. Cocco nickels. This week will provide first opportunities to play out with it, and I'm really, really looking forward...I was hoping for a bit more fundamental and low-mid punch as compared with the soapbars, but hoping to retain the basic character of the axe...and I am getting exactly that. Wow.

It looks like "the best bass I own" '97 MV5. I call it "Plain Jane" but when plugged in it just smokes unlike any of my other Sadowsky's.
Really great looking bass in my book, Mr. McNasty.
Thanks. Its by far the best bass I have ever owned. It even beat out a Will Lee that I tried to make myself fall in love with.
