I agree, it's a player for sure. Already has some bumps and bruises and all broken in. Man this bass is calling....buy me, buy me.
Your right about that. If I was a 4 string guy and bought it I would probably have to take it and play it on the weekends. I have never bought one just to look at yet but I think that one will always be worth more just because its Will's old Bass. Lets put it this way, Its only going to go up in value.
Well I'm back in the Sadowsky fold. #6145 came in 2 weeks ago and I've been playing the heck out of it. I just can't say enough good things about this bass.

Well I'm back in the Sadowsky fold. #6145 came in 2 weeks ago and I've been playing the heck out of it. I just can't say enough good things about this bass.

I spent my money on it, I'm gonna' enjoy it. Why should I pay my own hard earned cash just to preserve it for someone else?

Brief update:
I'm pretty well fully bonded with Sadowsky PJ#3, an MV5PJ. I've been using it a lot lately.
And, the brief M5-24 experiment didn't work for me; great bass, but, a bit outside my personal sonic palette.

I recently revisited my Metro PJ5 as I was considering thinning the herd and just focusing on the J's, but it ain't gonna' happen. I'm still mostly a JJ type guy, but there's a certain sound I REALLY dig that you can only get with a PJ.

Well, my P, and the Lakland's MM/J setup works for a lot of stuff. My purely theoretical second Sadowsky is a PJ and my equally theoretical Fodera or MTD has dual coils. My also theoretical Rob Allen (Hey, I dream a lot) would fill in the space left vacant when I sold my Godin A5.
I also GAS for a Mike Lull JJ as a backup bass or one to travel with, as well as a Nordy JJ, but those are more like rider clauses on my ideal toolbox than anything else.

Valenti JJ (same spec as the Sadowsky RVJJ, woods, electronics, and all. It is a different color!)

Another picture in uniform, this time-not in A School.
Here's the blurb from our facebook page...in other words, I ripped this picture from the band's page.
Navy Band Great Lakes' Protocol Combo "Freedom" performs aboard the Canadian Navy Vessel HMCS Ville de Quebec (FFH 332) as part of the United States celebration commemorating the War of 1812 and Navy Week Milwaukee.
There's a few more from that gig, but that is the only one of us playing (so far-I don't remember when all they took photos). It was a blast!
The Sadowsky just works for me. With this band (at least for this tour), I'm playing the Sadowsky through an SWR 750 head and 1X15. I realize you can't tell from the photo, but we're playing on the flight deck of a frigate...yeah, THAT type of frigate (the Naval vessel variety). The tone fits, even in a combo (granted, I'd rather play DB in a combo...), and it just finds this place in the mix to support everything else.
I did a wind ensemble gig tonight at a massive venue in Chicago (Millennium Park-the pavilion), I ran a 4X10+rack as a monitor, as well as plugged into a Radial DI. The tone in the house/monitors was just money. I used it on the Ray Charles/Alicia Keys version of "America The Beautiful" in a 70-some odd piece wind ensemble. It slotted into even that mix, balancing with the tubas (drastically different tone color to them), and stayed out of the way of the higher instruments.
