Club Sadowsky!!!

Damn, I keep looking at the pic that bass12 took of our lovely ladies. Such a pretty couple of basses. Now I'm kind of GASsing for that natural master-grade flamey reverse PJ 5 I mentioned dreaming up a few threads ago.

So many beautiful basses, so few dollars.

Hey Roadkill, this isn't a flame but it's gonna be mine.
I like the curly and spalted combo.

So.....naked or dressed?

Personally, I kinda dig it with no pickguard.

Also, and im sure I'll have to call the shop, but I'll toss this up for Roger or someone, the pickguard doesnt have a number on the back.
So getting a new one will involve what exactly?

I'm a fan of pickguards. I feel they add a nice contrast to the look and the protection is something I need. I would say dressed.

I'm pretty sure you can order a new one by just telling them its a NYC or a Metro, you might have to drill the holes or cut the pickup hole yourself though. I got my extra pickguard when I bought my Metro from them and had them install it.

That bass is screaming for an aged pearl pickguard and competition stripes like so:

That's a NYC, right? If you send them your pickguard, they can copy the layout and send you a different one.

If you like naked, get a plexi guard like i have on my PJ. I personally would still go red tort.

Definitely with a guard...and a tort one at that IMO.

Edit: They're want your current one to make a new one.

I like the no pickguard look. Doesn't look like every other jazz out there. I used to take the one off of my seafoam jazz all the time. Loved the look.

I find that a control plate and no guard looks kind of crass. I'm kind of getting used to that guard on that bass, but maybe some sort of pearl would look nice.
