Club Sadowsky!!!

Hey Roadkill, this isn't a flame but it's gonna be mine.
I like the curly and spalted combo.

Gonna have natural finish, but I have to admit I was originally wanting similar to you std 5 in color, I guess my top probably won't be as brown as yours

Mine was going to be natural as well, but Roger convinced me that for that specific top, vintage tint was the way to go, so I switched it.

Mine has a Madagascar RW fretboard. I look forward to seeing pics of your Amazon FB.

Actually, I look forward to seeing pics of the completed bass, period.

Personally, I kinda dig it with no pickguard.

Also, and im sure I'll have to call the shop, but I'll toss this up for Roger or someone, the pickguard doesnt have a number on the back.
So getting a new one will involve what exactly?

I like it without, and I'm one of those who believe
that a pick guard affects the tone of a bass. Unless you play with a pick, I think that they are
totally unnecessary.

Hmnn, Kevin is telling me that I'm probably needing natural to get it more in the brown family instead of vintage tint. (which is more yellow)

And Chef, heck no to any pickguard talk:eek:

Here is the inspiration for one of the 3 builds I have going at the moment. By inspiration I mean I'm totally cloning this, lol... :)
Selected a premium flame top of my choice - such fun. Love the bright/fresh modern look. :)

Oh, I like it. Best looking Sadowsky out there if you ask me. :D

Mike,

As a few have stated....You need to spend the pickguard in so we can make a new one for you..It's an older model so it will Most likely have to be copied from your original guard.

I'm sure that if you come to Montreal for the weekend, Bass12 will let you see that one up close. :D.

I beg to differ, sir, there's a very clear and obvious flame in that spalted top! I guess the point is, curly/flame are somewhat the same thing, if not the same. The "other" figures are typically quilts. Then you get into burls, spalts, etc.

So.....naked or dressed?
FWIW, I definitely like a guard on that one. If it had a figured top, or even a trans color, maybe not, but with that finish, mosdef a guard IMHO.

I thought I understood the NYC's literally have them "personally fitted", and I thought you actually had to send the whole bass in for a new one, but if someone knows it's cool to just send a guard in for dupe, that's certainly more convenient.
