I am currently looking at a SADOWSKY NYC 5 stringer and it has hum cancelling pickups.
I am a single coil kinda guy and would welcome both objective and subjective opinions on the merit/differences of these 2 pickup types please--before I contact Roger himself.
I guess the obvious is the noise reduction between the 2 pickup types--my question is concerning the TONE differences.
It appears the greater number of SADOWSKY basses are loaded with single coils.
After many years of resisting I am beginning to align myself with the many many fine attributes of SADOWSKY basses:
1. Playability and feel
(Killer Low B. Master Volume control.Total fretboard accessibility. Light weight)
2. Versatility
3. Aesthetics-stunning good looks
4. High demand for both new and used instruments (high resale value and quick sell for used models)
5. Modest build time for a custom order.
6. Absolutely the BEST customer service in bass guitar maker's land--- attention given to every customer inquiry with sincerity, honesty, humility and professionalism.
I have been punked by several well known luthiers for unclear reasons and NEVER with these cats...
Hummh..I guess that about covers it ?
