I also love that it's a pure P-bass. For the record: I'm not dissin' PJ setups, they are fine, but I rarely used the J on the PJ basses I owned, so that's why I go with the cleaner, traditional P-only config. And a Sadowsky P sounds outrageously wonderful for slap, too.

+1 I continuously scan the classifieds for a 5 string P Sadowsky. I assume they are very rare, but if I ever find one, I'll probably jump on it. Love my passive Nordy VP5. And active Sadowsky P5 would be a nice partner for that one!

Wow, what a coincidence! Mine also was born as a straight P, but the original owner sent it in for the J pickup and that's how I bought it. Until recently, I was using it mostly at center detent or slightly off center in both directions, but lately (and especially at the studio) I've been favoring the P pickup more and more...there is so much weight and power on every single note when you use the P :bassist:

You're going to love it. :hyper:
