So you're really just 5,10 ? You do look taller in the pic.
5' 9 and 3/4" to be exact.
And I'm wearing cowboy boots.
And the guitard to my right is 6' 2".

AH HAH!!!! HEELS!!! HAH! CAUGHT YOU!And I'm wearing cowboy boots.![]()
I think we need to start a sub-group for short Sadowsky players.
Nope, but I will say a burst will definitely make a bass appear smaller... and I'm not even joking about that.
(...)

I'm only 3/4" taller than Vic.

And wearing a black shirt. Perhaps Vic is inflating that 5'9" claim a bit?

Yeah, but the thing is, in his case, the dark color is ALSO on the bass, and that helps a lot.IME, dark colors do the same!![]()

does anyone know the links to these 2 basses on the Sadowsky site being tried out by marcus miller at Namm 2008:

i'd like to own both!
I'm holding my April 2004 NYC MV5 up against an Alleva Coppolo LG-5 (which is a full size J5) and not seeing hardly any difference.
This might explain why the bass looks kinda' big on me, but I thought all the NYC J's were smaller bodies?? I thought only the Metro UV's were full size J's?

Ok, yeah, I can see that. I just had both in the rack with the 24F, which of course is even smaller (which I didn't recall originally) so by comparison, without looking closer, both J's kinda' looked the same.Hey Vic,
Here's a pretty good side by side of the Alleva and my Sadowsky. Since the pickguards are very similar, you can see, as Fran mentions, that the primary difference is a thinner width profile (from top to bottom) at the 'tuck'. The lower part of the body and the length of the body are almost identical.
I believe part of the 'size' issue in your photo is that natural bass finish on a black shirt. I remember my blond Celinder just looking HUGE on me for the same reason.
LOL!And, you know what the girls say... big bass, big....![]()
