Ahhh yes... for a short time I had two insanely great solid ash/maple NYC MV5's with singles after nabbing that one from Ken to A/B with 4098. That is another special Sadowsky IMHO.

That bass makes you look positively diminutive.

That's why I wear the bass at such a high angle.
Edit: I tried lowering the angle but then the stretch to play strains my arm a bit and it does not feel like a natural angle. The strap actually does not bother my neck at all, it's just the collar bone. Wearing a big bulky sweatshirt helps!

That's why I wear it at such a high angle.

And now I can see why and how the strap cuts in. I use a Neotech Mega Bass Strap - similar design to the Sadowsky, I think, neoprene padding, etc. But the end is tailored differently. Might not cut into your collar bone so much.

Yes, you can see how that's digging into your neck in a way that's not intended.

WOW girl, that BASS is GORGEOUS. Happy Birthday again. The strap there for me would cut my neck as well. I believe GRUVE GEAR has a different strap out that may solve your issue, look into it.

I mostly use my Metro RV5PJ for church. Really like the spalted top on yours, like that you went sans pickguard, the black hardware was a good choice. Congrats.

I still feel that 'moderate weight, ash/maple, single coils in 60's position' Sadowsky build is the 'sweet spot' in the line. Unique tone due to the 'Sadowsky' components and design, and the 60's position combined with ash/maple. It is THE Sadowsky tone to my ear.
