You really can't get a sense for how ridiculous this was without all of us up there. You have to imagine keyboard/singer on the far right, then me holding a bass, then our female lead, then Shawn with his guitar, all out front of Harv (drummer) kinda' crammed right next to each other, so we'd have some semblance of a dance floor. It was crazy, but we did make it work. Definitely the tightest we've ever been.

Ok, so here's the cool part...The mother of the bride wants to know if you could "turn it down a little...please"
USUALLY, you'd be right, and ironically, even in cases where we had much more space to deal with... BUT... we got lucky on this one. Thank goodness for the bride's maids... wow... they were there to PARTY. Every single set, they were the first up to dance... ALL of them... and they got other people to do the same. We actually had plenty of dancers every set.
The other thing is, they didn't seem to care about volume levels. Towards the end of the night, I was considering earplugs, actually starting to get kinda' painful, but they didn't seem to care at all. I think the key is, there were lots of spaces in other areas that the sound didn't carry too far into, making plenty of spots for the faint of heart to go and still see the action. Part of the old school building... instead of one large banquet space/echo chamber, it was lots of small/medium sized spaces... actually helped a lot.

I ask Lisa whan I was talking to her Thursday if she built my
bass (6318). She didn't build mine but said she built 6319.
It is hot!
I used 6318 on my gig Saturday and it killed.
The protective plastic film is off and it's staying with me.
