Club Sadowsky!!!

+1..Roger's customer service is second to none...
He and Genz have the best that i have ever seen..
I often said in TB forums, Roger should give CS lessons to all corporations that are struggling to do business... If they all followed his lead, they would no longer be struggling and would have devout return customers..

A-Design is another one with Great CS....

I know we all experienced this but, I just couldn't let it go without some acknowledgment.

I sent an email to Kevin last week in regards to a question I had about my volume pot. Seemed the knob was loose and made a clicking sound when you hit it. I thought the brass sleeve just needed tightening. I got a call back from Roger and he address my question. We identified the problem and he replaced the pot with a brand new one and shipped it out the same day.

This is world class customer service at its best. Roger and crew wrote the book as far as I am concerned. Every customer is important to them and they sure make you feel that way.

I just wanted to send a shout out to Roger, Kevin and crew to show my appreciation for their dedicated customer service. Outstanding!!!

There is a very simple model to follow to learn about customer service. It is called L.L. Bean! That's where I learned about it!

Roger

True.. They are good too... I actually like their shoes... Real comfy... and they always fit my size 13 just right.. One time they didn't.. they took it back and charged me nothing..
I will keep buying from them for a long time

Now that I have my number, here are a couple of pics of my NYC Will Lee #6308 that I received in February :hyper: Beautiful to look at, wonderful to hold, and magical to play :bassist: And I know you've all heard it before, but Roger and Kevin and Team Sadowsky are simply the best :)

Interesting... I haven't directly compared, but it looks like they may have used the template for the older models where the active/passive switch was separate, for the mid control on this model. Looks great!

This is one of the reasons that I'm now on my third Sadowsky. It's nice to feel confident when spending such a large chunk of change that the company you're dealing with has your back. :)

Good Morning Mr. Sadowsky,

By any chance do you know generally how old the swamp ash is that goes into your instruments? Thanks :)

Good morning, Mr. Metal!

Body woods do not require a lot of aging.....they are kiln dried and pretty much ready to go with a few months of acclimation. However, I buy my neck stock as far in advance as I possible can.....1-2 years before I plan to use it. Fingerboard stock ranges from 1-30 years. Figured top woods, 1-30 years. I have acoustic guitar woods in my stash that are over 60 years old.

That is so cool. I know this is your bass forum but can you talk a little about those acoustic guitar prototypes keep seeing on Facebook...please :)

I walked into L.L. Bean for the first time a few weekends back. We were on our way home from NYC and stopped in Albany to go to the Cheesecake Factory. I had to know what all the LLB love was. I was scoping the camping stuff and an older gent who worked there walked over and struck up a convo. We talked about hunting and he found Canada's gun laws to be... bewildering. he really knew the store's merch, but didn't feel the need to push anything on me. If they'd carried axes by Gransfors Bruk or Wetterlings, I'd have bought something just to show how much I appreciated that fact that he *wasn't* pressuring me. So When you say that's where you learnt about good customer service, I believe it.

I started out building acoustic guitars in 1972, 10 years before I made my first bass. I had always built them as an avocation but when my son was born, I put acoustics on the back burner so I would not have an excuse to spend my free time at the shop. 20 years later, my son is in college so it is time to build them again. I am currently prototyping guitars based on the Martin OM and M models.

Oh, my gosh... this is not good news for my bank account (although it may be for Roger's).

Quick question: Is it possible to get replacement necks? I would love to get a master grade BEM neck for my M24 prototype.

I only sell replacement necks if you surrender your original neck (to prevent bogus Sadowsky instruments from selling on eBay). However, I do not make replacement necks for Metros and my Metro crew does not have figured wood for necks.

It's funny I had an hour long discussion with Mike Tobias about Martin guitars. He had taken a private tour of the factory and like me was especially impressed by the 000-28EC. I personally haven't played a bad one. I love OM's and I've always found the M series to be kind of a Martin secret weapon, although I am now a confirmed D body Mahogany guy. Speaking of which we have a great custom acoustic builder who attends my church (Michael Franks). Oh well I digress, back to the discussion of the finest basses in the world.

Stock update!

I do like this one quite a bit.... makes me wish I wasn't in a purchase freeze. :scowl:

It would match my 4-string LPB Metro HPJ perfectly!
At least until my Metro pickguard in black pearl shows up... eventually... :-\

Say, you think Roger would be willing to route in a MM pup in place of the J-pup on my 4 stringer? :hiding:
Probably not on a Metro. ;)
