Club Sadowsky!!!

Just me spitballing with this (and I don't fancy myself an audio engineer, by any means), but I'm thinking it has to do with the respective output/input impedances, device to device, going down the signal chain. With the onboard pre enabled, the output of the pups is buffered from anything later in the signal chain. Bypassed, not the case--and high freqs are likely to get rolled off.

Getting back to the new website, I do miss seeing the basses in full and scrolling through them. The new website shows the body only but you don't see the rest unless you click on it. The site seems slower to load up....anyone else experience this?

The site has gotten faster in the last few days....The website is still a work in progress. I don't like the body shots on the In Stock page and I am changing it back to full horizontals. Will get the Previously Owned gallery back up as well. Please send me any feedback pro or con directly to me at [email protected]. Thanks.

I would agree with that. Its a super easy fix too. The layout of the website looks great, it would just be nice to have the basses listed by model name rather than # of frets.

Actually, I never had model names for the NYC basses...only the Metros! I just referred to them as Standard or Vintage 21 or 24 fret, Will Lee or Ultra Vintage.

I understand that websites are always a work in progress but IMO, when a company revamps its website the new version should include all the available information of the previous one from the get-go. I don't see the urgency to release a new version before it's finished.

Fran, one of the issues we had with the old site was it was getting bogged down by having too many pages......Part of the process of making a new sight is to get rid of clutter. Every thing important will be added. You launch when you are at a point where you can do the remaining work on your end rather than pay the developer to do it! :-) Hang in there....it will be worth it!

Ima dork

So many basses, not enough time
They make me smile. I'm glad they are mine
But when the time comes to select some gear
For making some music to please the ear
Again and again I reach for the best
To do the job to pass the test
To sit in the mix not in the way
To provide a foundation for others to play
She's always ready, everything works
A familiar sound without all the quirks
Plays like a dream always so smooth
A big fat bottom to cushion the groove
Some others are fancy with pretty veneers
Switches and knobs that some may hold dear.
None of this matters in a working band
The magic comes from your fingers and hands
You search for the tool that lets you speak
The soul of the music is what you seek
Every new gig I peruse them all but always come back to the one that I call
My one my only this much is true
It's the only bass that will always do
My favorite axe a reliable friend
She's always ready and there till the end
Sadowsky's the name. Nothing is badder. Once you've played one nothing else matters.

Nice work! That definitely belongs on the Sadowsky site! ;)

Did you try the Talkbass classifieds? Here's a link to one I saw.
For Sale - Sadowsky Metro UV70 5-string | TalkBass.com
There's also an almost brand new RV5 on ebay. The seller says they purchased only a few months ago directly from Sadowsky..

Have been checking classifieds. The UV was tempting but I wanted to see if there were any other options out there. I'll check for the eBay posting as well. Already have one promising PM from a club member.

I just picked up a new(to me) MV5 Will Lee! I bought an RV4 last week but after thinking long and hard about it I decided to return it and grab this bass instead. This one weighs in at only 8.5 lbs. I really wanted to find a great sounding 5 for the production shows that I play, and this one certainly fits the bill! Might change the pickguard to tortoiseshell though...
