I traded that beautiful P-bass to TBer Blues Infidel. What happened to it since then is a mystery to me.

I worked a deal (trade plus cash) with Blues Infidel and have had 6294 since the end of March 2014. Wow over two years now! Plays like butter and I think the look is just so classic and classy. At the moment I have an EMG GZR pickup installed. Sounds amazing with the Blues/Rock band I recently hooked up with. It's a keeper and at the moment the only bass I own.

Thanks for posting, Lex P. Lovely bass. I was hoping someone might have it sat around not being used but I guess that was always going to be a long shot. I am surprised it has been traded so many times if I'm honest.

Good luck. You can't go wrong with a Sadowsky P or PJ. My PJ4 is my only electric bass.
I picked up a Metro PJ/4 here on TB just before Christmas. The bass has become my No. 1 in two of my three bands. There's magic in Sadowsky basses, I just don't know how else to say it.
I just got my RV5 back from TB'er @Doug Parent after a little repair job. The mounting screw for the B-string tuner was so stripped it almost broke all the way through to the tuner shaft hole. It was pulling the entire tuner assembly towards the headstock. The repair was perfect, you would never know it was there. Doug does great work, he recently built a Warmoth bass for me too

Let's get back on track with the RV5- I love this bass! We were able to compare the Nordy-wound Sadowsky single coils with regular NJ5's on a bass with similar woods and you can hear some similarities between the two. But, as expected the differences are glaring. To my ears, the Sadowsky's just have something else going on. Rich, full, robust and stout. Those are the best words I could use to describe them. I'm not knocking the NJ5's at all, they are fantastic pickups- but man, the Sadowsky single coils just kill. Anyway here's some better pics after the repair too..

Ok, another gushing post regarding my new (to me) RV5!!! I am just inspired to play. I would agree with the term "magic" when describing the Sadowsky bass. Tonal bliss! Here's a solo piece I recorded this morning, this RV5 is just inspiring me to try things.. Please forgive my lousy attempt at programming drums, lol. It was recorded passive, direct into Focusrite 2i2 with Ableton Live Lite 9

Do you have the new one? Are they out yet? Yeah, I knew i'd get that answer(lol) but I'm wondering--if he were having his bass demo'd for the first time--I wonder what cab or combination he'd choose.
When I went to the shop back in 2009, he was there and set me up playing through a SA200 they had in the shop.
I ended up ordering a bass and never quite could get the amp out of my head. I'll be getting one of the new ones when they come out.

I've owned quite a few Sadowskys over the years; I've had the one in my avatar for over ten and currently own five. That P Bass was simply awesome. I felt bad because it wasn't getting used in my musical situation at the time so I decided to let it go even though I loved playing it. Probably the best P Bass I've ever played. On a happier note, the MV4-HPJ that I got in the trade deal ended up becoming my #1 four string.
