Welcome to the Sadowsky Club!!Hi everyone,
I just signed up here, partly because of this thread. I just purchased my first Sadowsky, an MV5, after years of Fender, Warwick, Musicman and countless others!
I did hours of research and kept coming back to Sadowsky. I went to the only chain in England that carry them, which was 3 hours away, and compared them with Fender Elites, Mayones and Lakland.
The sadowsky was the most expensive by some way, but it was the only bass that was pretty much perfect. The balance, neck pocket, frets and build is flawless. Not to mention the neck that is the most comfortable I've played and that sound... so clear, and a nice even low B.
England is now out of new MV5s as I bagged the last one. It weighs in a 9lbs 2. Not a featherweight, but over 1lb lighter than my Sandberg was. The next month is a mad one, with 10 gigs scheduled, so I'm really looking forward to getting to know the Sadowsky better.

Fair point. Mine is a straightforward repaint, so shouldn't be too crazy. He is pretty busy and had 2 guys out, so standard small shop ebb and flow. Very nice guy to chat with and he asks a lot of questions to see what you do and don't want. Worth a phone call if you're debating a change to your bass.He advised me around 5-7 week turnaround depending on the level of work. He's doing couple more things for me than just a refinish.
Trying new strings this weekend on my metro PJ... Chromes on, TIs off.
Happy Memorial Day!

An "artsy" cellphone photo from last night. The white pearloid pickguard gives a cool effect.
I am loving my MV4. Just put new strings on again today, it sounds so perfect.

IMO. if you want a tight bass would go JJNot sure if this is the right place to ask this...
I'm ordering a 5-string Sadowsky this week and I need some opinions on which pickup combo to go with. I'm looking for a tight/controlled bass response from the lower strings. Mostly play Pop and R&B. Already have a Nordy vJ5 and a Stingray 5.
P/J? Soaps? P/Soap?
