Club Sadowsky!!!

Just in case you Sadowsky fans didn't see this thread, I'm providing a link.

Fantastic playing, and a GREAT comparison of the smooth, modern, soapbar type tone of the Sadowsky Modern versus the grindy, punchy, 'updated vintage' type tone of the Sadowsky J with single coil pickups (in this case, Nordstrand single coils).

REALLY nice IMO! Enjoy:)

+1... he indicates the Nordstrand single coils in the beginning of the thread. They sound great, and actually on that clip, quite similar to the Sadowsky singles. The Seymours that Roger uses are a touch more aggressive up top than I remember the Nordy's being, although he had PLENTY of zing in his tone. My guess is, he had the treble control boosted just a touch to get that top end out of the Nordy's. It sounded great, and very similar to the singles in mine with the pre flat. I dig it!

+1 Juraj sure does have some zing in his tone. Absolutly killer!
I have been debating getting singles for my 4 banger. After all the reviews and this clip I may have to pull the trigger sooner than later!

HI

What are you waiting for, Crip? She'd look good amongst the others

Rob

Ah Bikeplate, the enabler's enabler :p

I think it might end up being a bit too similar to my Modern 4 w/nord BSs in the 60's positions. I'd opt for the exact same bass with SCs in the 70s spot for something a bit different. I just love the way it looks.

But really, I need a P/J more. So someone PLEASE buy this awesome looking bass so it can stop haunting me!!

Well, i'm late to the club.... but i've had this gorgeous Metro for quite some time now. She's #233 built in '04. I adore her more everyday. Can I join your fine club?:hyper:
I REALLY need to take some better pics of her.
