Hey, ever heard of extenders? Well, hipshot does it with a tuner, but i do it with a string. my bass is nothing more than a standard 4 string bass with a "low B extender".

Sadowsky number 26 is the best P bass I have ever owned!! She is exceptionally light for a Metro Hybrid P at exactly 8 lbs!!

And her sister a Natural Metro Jazz. This one is serial number 221 and someone added the VTC after the fact so it is a little weird for me because it is the only one I have had like this. The VTC is the bottom knob....This is easily one of the most resonant basses I have ever heard and is every bit as good as any NYC I have owned! I feel very lucky to have her! She has very quickly become my number 1! I had to give her an extensive setup job because she came from an elevated environment but she is perfect now! Definitely reminds me why I love Roger Sadowsky! By the way this one weighs only 8.3 lbs!!!! A Metro P at 8 lbs and a Metro J at 8.3 lbs! How did I get so lucky!

Just in case you Sadowsky fans didn't see this thread, I'm providing a link.

Fantastic playing, and a GREAT comparison of the smooth, modern, soapbar type tone of the Sadowsky Modern versus the grindy, punchy, 'updated vintage' type tone of the Sadowsky J with single coil pickups (in this case, Nordstrand single coils).

REALLY nice IMO! Enjoy
