It has the same rugged construction of the old one, but in a more standard size. It has the thick, folded metal enclosure that you typically find in a RAT pedal.

The DI version with tuner out will still be available.

The SBP-2, this new one, does not have the DI.

Yes! I finally got into the club - #510... Here are my NYC Gals, they come through all the time, let me play anything... I'm downsizing a LOT, but these are staying with me ! I'm soooo Happy.

I gigged my new (to me) RV5 PJ last night and man, there is a TON of low end! I was sending my amp into OD quite often- the onboard settings were similar to my JJ RV5, but there was so much more bottom. I have B/T around 30% on my JJ, I could barely do a 5% boost on the PJ before going into OD.

Is that solely because of the P pickup? I've never owned a P bass, lol... was there a preamp design change at all that would have increased the output in later Metros? The batteries are new in each bass, I can take that off the list..

For reggae I think the PJ will just kill- so thick and creamy down low. It was a little muddy with the punk band however..

Ok, thanks! My JJ has single coils as well, but that P pickup hits like a wrecking ball. Glad to know it wasn't just my ears, lol...

Just wanted to chime in and say how much I appreciate Roger and his crew, particularly Lisa and Peter! I flew up to NYC and got to hang with Lisa and Peter for a while, talking over some possibilities and going through their wood stash. I guess you could say that I'm in the final stages of commissioning my very first custom build (not just Sadowsky, first custom build ever!) and while I'm still a bit nervous about it I'm very excited about what we came up with! I think I'm pretty safe in saying that we all know how awesome Sadowsky instruments sound and play, but it's very cool to me that I'm able to go visit the shop and that the crew there is incredibly welcoming and patient in working with my ideas!

For punk, solo the P pickup. You'll get a middy bark that balances out the big lows. PJ blended can be pretty scooped.

The Church rig this morning. An MV5 thru a Quilter BB800 and Bergintino 112. I must say I've owned a couple of NYC's and two other metro's and this MV5 is a keeper. Sits in the mix great and the tone is incredibly even from note to note.
