Club Sadowsky!!!

Question, I've been using Sadowsky Blue Steels on my MV5 and I'm very impressed but they are sold out on the web site and I'm thinking about checking out something else to maybe save a bit anyway. What strings are you guys using that are similar to the Blue Steels (med. Gauge)?
Check out SIT strings.

I've been playing and gigging my Metro MV5-24 quite a lot in the past month (after nearly a year of favoring my Metro WL4), and I am really digging the different vibe of the HC pickups! I run a pretty hot gain structure on my amp, and those HCs help to provide some extra sizzle. Plus, the sound seems more naturally compressed and punchy than the SCs.

At one point - shortly after getting the Will Lee model - I considered swapping the HCs in my MV5-24 for SCs. But now I am quite confident that I will leave it as is, and enjoy each pickup type for what it offers.

Love my Sadowsky basses!

Replaced the HC in my MV5-24 with SC after owning a Metro Will Lee RV-4. Has nice grunt and less polite that the HC. Really can’t go wrong either way.

Yeah, @Antman3820 was a strong advocate for the SCs when I was contemplating a switch, but I didn't realize it was a religious mantra for him!

BTW, @Antman3820, glad to hear you're stil enjoying the MV5-24!

Yes, I am !!!! Upgraded her years ago with Sadowsky Black Hardware, SC’s and Tort PG. You can set the action pretty low and get compliments on the sound. She is a keeper. Owe it all to you. Thanks !!!

I just released this. Posting here because I recorded the bass track with my Sadowsky Modern. Admittedly, the line is just a repeated one bar phrase, but still. :D I'd originally tracked with a Sadowsky Jazz but I needed a bit more space between the notes so I brought in the Modern. The line is simple but it was surprisingly difficult to play it cleanly from the beginning of the track until the end.
