Club Sadowsky!!!

I would be nice to have an official video comparing the basic pickup configurations offered. I know there are tons of options like the Js on 60's or 70's position, the Soapbars on the traditional J configuration or modern, but at least to have the 4 basics in one video.

-Jazz Single coil
-Jazz humcancelling
-Soapbars
-The new pickups that I can't recall how they are called

That will give everyine a better idea (although it will never replace a proper hands-on test) before doing an order.
For example I'm a single coil guy but my UV70 it's loaded with Humcancelling PUP and I love it, I wouldn't expected that, it was a really pleasant surprise.
I don't live anywere close to the US (nor Japan for that matter) and we don't have Sadowsky dealers here, so I have 0 change of actually trying anything before buying it. That's why it hink it would be really cool to have a sample of the basic tones of each option to help people make a decition.

Yes, kind of. I would like to hear the new pups as well, and, although that guy is great (man he can play), I would like a video a little bit better constructed, more organized I guess (both musically and on the settings he is using)

Thank you!! Your setup info from print material is like gold to me - I would LOVE to watch you do it. I've never played a better feeling instrument after following your setup tips. It's twice as nice when it's one of your basses I'm playing :cool:

I guess I'm now officially on the waiting list for Club Sadowsky! I just finished sending off my deposit for a Satin (4-21, Ocean Turquoise Metallic, Tort pickguard, Morado fingerboard). And I'm stoked! It'll be tough to wait the 6-7 months, but I know it'll be SOOO worth it!! Played my first Sadowsky a few weeks back and I was instantly hooked. I turn 40 in September and this is my birthday present to myself. Just wish I were born in 1979. Then it'd be Sadowsky's 40th anniversary as well...plus I'd be one year younger! ;) Can't wait to be part of the club!

My pleasure! This post below from @Fran Diaz has string height specs. This post and that article I shared put me on my way to doing my own setups. I spent $40-$60 a pop so many times! The cost of tools was much less, lol!

I've been using this article for around 15 years now. And the Fran Diaz measurements too.
The hardest part of Roger's setup guide was finding a small steel rule in 32's.
All I do differently is to check the relief by placing a left-hand finger on fret #1 of the 'A' string, hold string against end of fretboard with right elbow and
tap with right middle finger in the middle of the neck to check bow (tiny amount of play around the thickness of a credit card works for me).
That article is 22 years old and still gold!

From a neck relief standpoint, what should I expect on my Metro WL-4 as I change from rounds (DR Lo-Riders) to Sadowsky Blue Labels? The last time I went from rounds to flats on my Fender P, the bow of the neck (due to the difference in string tension) freaked me out a bit, and I ended up taking it in for a professional setup. I have a gig tonight, and no time for a professional setup, but would LOVE to rock these flats at the gig. I am reasonably comfortable with setups / neck adjustments... So, again, what should I expect? Any tips on this point?

Tom Tom Tom what are you doing to me..... ...Just a try could I have the bass on the left? That amp looks good too....
But anyway I love that bass. really beautiful and I'm not degrading the other. But that bass is amazing.
