I would love to hear the new spiltable dual coil for the 60/70's tones. I haven't been able to find one video featuring that pickup.

Just received my new bass with the Super J, I will try to make a video clips or recording some tracks with it. I like how the pickups work so far! Stay tuned!

We managed to get a light wood blank and cut the body at around 3lbs, I didn't weight the bass but it should be weight at 8 something and less than 9 lbs territory.

I almost said that's one of the coolest Sadowsky's I've ever seen... but in fact, it's one of the coolest basses I've ever seen - period!

Cool. I also prefer a solid body, and the light ash is harder to find these days. I was also fortunate enough to get my standard 5-24 under 9lbs with a solid body. Love it.

Don't wanna brag but my solid ash P bodied PJ4 is 8.3...Oh, and the ash has some nice flame too.

I think that's about the same as mine. it's definitely no more than 8.5. how old is it?

lighter ash was definitely a lot easier to find in previous years. I think Roger just saw that the "norm" was creeping up and didn't want to have to deal with a lot of wood searching/sorting, so he could just take standard shipments and not worry about it at all anymore.

Many builders/luthiers have had to deal with this. Some charge extra for light solid ash to cover cost of selection and diminishing availability... just like pure black ebony, which is really hard to find now.

That's the one constant in all of Roger's basses. Acoustic resonance, and quite often, if I'm playing unplugged I can feel that open 'B' vibrate my sternum.
