Depending on when you come, might be able to join you...I don't live as close as Grady and Greg but it's manageable (not far from Carl's shop, actually). PM me when you're comin'.I will pm you too! We will have a convention at CME!

You can request these on your build. How cool is that!!!!!!
I was on the fence for awhile with my NYC 5-21...ended up having two guards made, but had the bass shipped with the Vintage Pearl installed. Glad I did!
I’ve yet to take or see a pic, that really reflects how amazing the VP guard looks in person...sorta 3D! Here’s the best pic I’ve got...View attachment 3053998
Anyone have a source for knobs like these? Love the Sadowsky knobs and located some black ones that are very very similar (identical?) to the black ones on my Metro and installed them on a bass... but I have another bass that would benefit aesthetically from a set of the chrome silver ones, as on the bass pictured in the quoted post herein. TIA. Your help is appreciated.

Go Cubs all ya want...I can't stand baseball, and as a Wisconsin native and Shareholding Green Bay Packers fan, I'm quite used to flak about sports...Sounds like a party... wish I was closer... I'd bring my best lampshade...
Have fun guys and gals!
(@FunkSheep08, I have to... Go Cubs!)

Yes. As the build time nears it is very a natural reaction to get impatient. But i can say from experience. It will be worth every second of the wait.Did any of you (besides me) get rather impatient the last few weeks waiting for your first NYC to be finished? This suspense is killing me, lol.... I keep looking at all the amazing basses that end up on the stock page and that only makes it worse.![]()

Just felt like posting a pic of mine after all the knob talk. Metro UV60 I bought from a talkbasser but found the original store's listing on Reverb and saved all the glamour shots. Still feel super lucky to have this Bass!
I have no doubt that my NYC will definitely be worth the wait, but frankly any time I could spend bothering Peter for an update would be better spent woodshedding or handling the “business” side of playing music.

Should be amazing.I’m official. PJ5, P body, white/parchment, alder/braz. Roasted neck to match the look of the dark old neck on my 60P. Vintage frets. I’m excited!
Are they still letting you order Brazilian RW even with CITES?I’m official. PJ5, P body, white/parchment, alder/braz. Roasted neck to match the look of the dark old neck on my 60P. Vintage frets. I’m excited!
