I really like my Metro down the B string and have hit that low C for dramatic effect. I think Drunky McM has some Canadian cousins up here. Slurry and Droolie McMillertime. They just love telling me about some obscure bass song that we should cover while trying to get my drink at the bar during breaks.
Definately would love to see picks of your up and comer.
So..I am looking to buy Sadowsky Metro RV5 PJ. i think it would be the best of both worlds, but I want to hear your insight on it. What is it like compared to JJ setup or compared to Modern 5-24 (which is on my ultimate wishlist, NYC custom one, of course 
). Any input would be appreciated.
P.S., it could be that somebody has already asked about this, but i didn't want to read through so many pages.

I have a metro RV5 JJ5 and RV5 PJ5. Both burst with Morado. The are slightly different, the JJ has single coils. I like the JJ5 for my more articulate stuff or my punk band. I use the PJ5 for my reggae band or slower stuff where a thick tone fits the bill. I can "almost" get the P tone on the J bass, but they are very different when you favor the bridge pickup.
I could use either bass for both projects - but for more articulate and much tighter mids I use the JJ5. If I want thick, meaty, present and full - PJ5 all the way

Sadowsky-related content: A friend in the area recently bought a Sadowsky, after seeing and hearing mine. I went to see a local musical theater production he was playing for (Mamma Mia!), and at the after-party, he walked up with his wife, pointed at me and said to her, "HE'S the one to blame for the new bass!".

Not sure which one was referred to, but this is the one I typically use to demo my Sadowsky "MM5":

"This clams-and-all video is only to demo the sound of the bass. It's a crappy mix, and isn't supposed to represent the sound of HighTest, my rock band. Gear is a 2010 Sadowsky NYC MM5 bass, Ampeg SVP-Pro preamp (run dirty), Stewart World 2.1 power amp, Bergantino NV610 cabinet."
This is more recent, but the bass is less in-your-face:

I'm faking it in a couple of ways: I'm playing a rough estimate of Duff's line, and I also made some "adjustments" because I'm using 3rd fret B string rather than detuned open E. End result is close enough for rock'n'roll, though...
This picture made me ask Carmine for a quote for the Vintage Pearloid pickguard for both my JJ5 and P body PJ5. I love how it looks on 59burst.

That is a Nordstrand MM5.2, the wide spaced version of course. The little toggle switch is for parallel (the traditional Music Man tone), series (louder with thicker mids), and single coil.
