View attachment 3150107 New strings and a new S-lock strap system gotta protect my investment
View attachment 3150862 Looks like my first and second choices are missing from the rack.
Sooooooo, F-ing jealous! CONGRATS!!!!!
That is a sexy instrument!HAHAHA, that's actually one of my basses I have on consignment. Roger is building me a Vintage 24fret 5 string with 2 Nordstrand Big SplitMans that will be ready in April. With the addition of this J 5 I realized I would rather expand my Sadowsky sonic spectrum by having different pickups in each Sadowsky.

That is a sexy instrument!

It’s practical too.Oh my word is it! It was lust at first sight when I saw it online. I had been wanting a vintage 5 in that color for a long time.![]()
I didn’t know such a thing existed! I thought I only had 2 choices.
WOW
I doubt very much that replacing Sadowsky pickups with something else would improve your tone or add punch. Play with the EQ. Maybe think about a compressor in your audio chain. So question fellas,ok fellas question, I’d like a bit more punch coming out of my tone. I think My sound lacks punch and I was considering changing my pups can anyone recommend pups which have a good punchy tone. I have a one of the Tokyo made models which if I’m correct is the current Metro model. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I use a Darkglass Compressor, I’m using a Sans Amp paradriver but on very low settings just to give it a bit of punch. It seems like I’m getting the tone to break up early and it distorts fairly easy.I doubt very much that replacing Sadowsky pickups with something else would improve your tone or add punch. Play with the EQ. Maybe think about a compressor in your audio chain.
A good set of single coils might do the trick!
