Inbound!!! :hyper: And baby makes three! Heaven help me.

They removed the binding option? Am I crazy or it used to be available on NYC basses not long ago?
All I can tell it's, I love the binding on my Metro, absolute perfection. I have a proper US Gibson SG standard and the binding there looks like what you would expect from an AliExpress knockoff

FWIW, I don't remember binding ever being available on an NYC. Just the addition of block inlays in 2010 I think.

EDIT: Found it, as well as the explanation as to why no binding...

Sadowsky Guitars: BLOCK INLAYS

@AngelCrusher

Here you go:

Here's an interesting artist build (Teppei Kawasaki, big-time session player in Japan) made by the guys at Sadowsky TYO.. I'll just list down the rough specs of the bass for convenience but you can run the site through Google Translate to get the full scoop! Invalid Link Removed

Neck: Follows the profile of Teppei's '65 Jazz along with a 1.45" nut & a 10" radius. Comes with vintage frets seated on a Morado board too.

Body: It seems to say that they chose to use Ayous/Obeche after a blind test with 4 prototypes involving Basswood, Light Ash & Roasted Alder and the former.

Electronics: They went for a vintage look with a V/V/T or V/B/T on the front & moved the Bass & Treble EQs to the back panel, adjustable via screw terminals.

So here's a funny story for you all.

I placed an order for a MetroExpress back in July or so, the shop has been great communicating with me about the delays in shipping it, and I'm fine with waiting. So it was supposed to be here this month sometime, but now not so sure when it will actually get here. All good, its all paid for so Im not too worried, just keen to get it.

Did a job for a guy at an apartment complex on the weekend, he mentions he's in the Air Force and has to move.........and plays bass. Shows me his collection, then says "and there's one I dont play much and I'm thinking about selling it if you're interested".

Long story short, I'm picking up a Sadowsky Metro M5 on the weekend :bassist:

So now I have 2 Sadowskys on the way, and it takes my total bass count to 7. My wife isn't happy!!!!!!

My Verdine 5 is done! Carl sent pics today, so glad I went with the Olive color. The fretboard on this one has some awesome streaks running though it too. I am just googly over it.

I was initially told December for completion - ahead of schedule is always nice!

Guess it's time to tell the wifey..
 :roflmao:
