Club Sadowsky!!!

^^^^

Wow! That is just crying out for a green finish... :D

Thanks, Kev. I'm sure it's going to be super hot. Quilt maple on swamp ash with a maple fingerboard.

It's going to be this model

With these pickups: Big SplitMan 5

Have these been discussed yet?? New Sadowsky/Nordstrand pickups. They look amazing!!!! Front one can be switched between P and reverse P. Bridge can give you 60's or 70's J positions. GREAT idea!!

Since the cat's officially out of the bag I can say something about it since I have Lisa's blessing to post a little bit.

Both that Super P pickup and a Super J pickup are going into my custom NYC. It is indeed P and reverse P, and with the the Super J in the same sized shell (with 60's, 70's and both pickup selections available) this will be a VERY flexible combination! When I asked Lisa about this concept while commissioning my NYC I was really scared that it wouldn't be possible, but Lisa and Roger were very excited about it and worked tirelessly with Nordstrand to make it happen. I'm positive that @deepestend and @Sadowsky could give a much more detailed account of the pickup, but from my perspective and ears Lisa and Roger have done an incredible job working with Nordstrand to nail this concept out of the park (I got to play it briefly while on some fly dates and stopping by the shop while in town for our NYC show).

I definitely promise to post lots of photos when I get the bass, and a good drummer friend of mine and I are already preparing to create some studio videos demonstrating the different tones available from the Super P and Super J pickups. Man, I'm getting more excited by the minute for this bass and pickups!!!

Dear club members, I am doing some spring cleaning. I have 2 used Sadowsky Neoprene/Comfort straps that I am not using. I could always list them on the classifieds here, but thought I’d give y’all first dibs. I would sell them singly for $20 shipped within North America. One is short size (41"), the other is long (60"). Both are NOW SOLD>

I just want to personally thank you on behalf of Canada, Canadians, and Sadowsky bass playing Canadians for thinking of us in your shipping. If this message offended anyone I would like to personally apologize for Canada, Canadians, Sadowsky bass playing Canadians and of course myself.

I'd be cool with the long if still available! Let me know and thanks for the generous offer.

This sounds great. I've been playing with a 2 P-pickup bass for the last few years and I really like the sound. I could see putting two of these Super P pickups in a 5-string custom build. Interested to see what that looks like though... I guess it would be similar to the soapbar J-basses?

I think the Super P and Super J pickups I have going in are bigger than the soap bars Roger and crew currently use, so it's probably going to just LOOK like two MusicMan pickups in a J bass.
