Just do what I did:

• Buy a MTD 634
• gut the Aguilar EQ/Barts you ordered it with, put a Sadowsky Pre in it
• sell it because it doesn't quite cut the mustard
• buy it back again on TB
• gut the Bart EQ (ew) and pups that the MTD fanboys put back in it, and endure their crappy comments about how (paraphrasing) 'the original owner committed sacrilege and engages in baby-kicking whilst wearing an SS uniform'
• put Aguilar 'Big Singles' and Rogers inimitable, you-just-can't-beat-it Pre back in
• Have the MTD-Sadowsky-Warwick-flavored (Walnut body and Wenge Neck) 6-string of your dreams
• Thumb your nose at MTD fanboys every chance you get.

Ahh, in the thread Roger @Sadowsky also added some information.

This was built by Yoshi for the 2007 Tokyo Music Fair last October.

The Sadowsky TYO line is for sales only within Japan.

And the remainder of that thread is people asking for a US release. I whole heartedly join those wishing for one of these. I was originally planning to go for a Satin Series Modern 5/24, but I would definitely go for a custom Sadowsky USA Modern 6.

From what I understand, each pickup has two modes, which results in four PJ combinations (both pickups on):

Standard P with J in 60's location
Standard P with J in 70's location
Reverse P with J in 60's location
Reverse P with J in 70's location

Yup, that’s correct. But don’t forget the fifth and sixth pickup combinations:

Standard P with J in “both” locations
Reverse P with J in “both” locations

As soon as I get the bass I’ll be heading over to my friend’s home studio to record some bass only AND some drum-and-bass tracks to show off the different sounds in the bass with this combination of pickups.

I think they're short-scale, narrow-spaced 6-string piccolo basses. They seem to be quite popular with some folks, you have to play them extremely loud for some reason.

Yes. It has a three way switch. 60s/70s/both. Humcancelling in all positions.
