My P Pickup looks a little 'catty-wompus' straight on, but sonically, when I favor the P Pickup, the Geological Survey ends up zeroing in on my location, and the marmet population declines considerably, so no big deal IMO.

I think we're talking a few mm in a magnetic field that is maybe 3 inches wide?
Zero reason to be concerned that strings aren't perfectly centered between polepieces. Except maybe if you have a particularly virulent case of OCD.

I'm on the hunt for a Metro Express - can't find anything in the US at all. I remember a while back there was a dealer in Japan with them in stock and they shipped internationally - does anyone happen to remember that dealer?
I'm pretty sure @MAJOR METAL purchased a bass from that dealer.

Yep - saw both of those. In my case though I was specifically looking for a 5 string, and in the ash/maple combo.

I think we should shorten it to “pre-War” Sadowsky. It worked out pretty well for C.F. Martin.
You may want to check out Bassclubchicago I bought one from them and its worked out really well. I would also recommend checking out rogers link for dealers. I am sure you can find some.
