Club Sadowsky!!!

I have so much on my plate for the next 6 months (moving the shop), that I cannot even think about this. If it does happen, it will most likely occur as a custom order from the Sadowsky Masterbuilt line.
However, we do not even have 6 string hardware or pickups. I can't count it out, but don't hold your breath.

"Some of you may have noticed the different logo on the headstock. Please permit me to explain… About 15 years ago, when I went to trademark Sadowsky in China, I discovered that a pirate had trademarked Sadowsky before I could. I have been fighting for the return of my trademark for the last five years. We won the previous round on the basis that he has never used the trademark. However, on the last possible day, he appealed the decision, and until the appeal is heard, he still owns the mark. As a result, I have trademarked RSD (Roger Sadowsky Design) and will use that in conjunction with the MetroExpress until the issue is resolved, which I am confident it will be."

I assume that after getting back the rights to Sadowsky logo, the ME line will have the Sadowsky logo?

I think that's a safe assumption. The big question is how long it'll take for the issue to be resolved.

One can never know how long a legal matter can take to resolve. Let's hope it happens sometime soon. Who knows? Maybe the "RSD" logo will be a collector item at some point in the future.

The RSD five will probably be my first Sadowsky. I just want it to be a good bass. The headstock logo is no big deal for me.

I don’t mean to be negative but some people really suck

Thanks @Sadowsky

I think I’m going to need to swap out the stainless for nickel. Looking for a little more mids and less clank.

The Sadowsky stainless do not clank. IME.
I am also getting ready to switch to nickels on my new TYO. The steels sound great with a lot of fullness and girth, yet they do clank some. The clank can be tamed by judicious use of the VTC. IMHO/IME.

Mid scoopage might be an issue though.

I gotta say I really love how there seems to be such a community around these basses and the owners... I also really appreciate how involved Roger Sadowsky is in it...
Roger loves all of us...here I am taking one for the community!

i have found this to be true with my new to me Metroline. I obtained mine right in the middle of a recording project and immediately put a helmet on it and sent it into the game. Initially I thought these strings were not for me or at least not for this project but what I found was, although I definitely needed to dial it back with the Vtc for the sound I was looking for, being able to dial in that presence make these stainless a useful thing imo. If it weren’t there at all I think I would miss it now. Hope that makes sense.

Do we get club numbers or just use the build number (8683)?

FedEx delivered yesterday, just finally got her out of the bag, now I need a break from the meetings to start playing!

NBD thread to be started once I can take some decent pictures - and pictures don't capture how incredible this finish is!
