Club Sadowsky!!!

Candy Apple Orange is such an awesome finish that even Jason Newsted has a Will Lee Sadowsky in one! :bassist:

Hmm... looks great under stage light. Maybe I should reconsider. :)
Agreed. But, your main axe has the maple fingerboard.

I mean, it’s an appearance thing, so whatever. But, black/black with maple boards is a time proven combo. Still, some cats like the tort with the maple board. The only other guard I tend to like with black / maple is the black pearloid, if you want a bit more bling.

Ultimately, pickguards are a bit of an affectation. Kind of like whatever suit you’re going to wear to the gig. Vestis virum reddit, and all that. Got to be comfy in your skin.

Side comment: I have one of the Spitfire Tort guards on my trans white ash Fendowsky 5. If anyone goes tort on a Sadowsky, I can recommend those as the most attractive tort I’ve found. Pricey, but quite at home on a good Sadowsky.

I also have a 40th on order, though with COVID-19, not sure when it'll be done.

Specs are more or less at this time:
24 frets, 5 strings
Quilted maple top, T. Whale burst
Standard maple neck, vintage tint
Headstock - TBD
Ebony board
Skyline inlay
Black hardware
SuperJ/SuperP

Basically, imagine the bass below with SJ/SP and an ebony board, vintage tint, and the skyline inlay... possibly the diamond knob layout. Considering the Will Lee module, but honestly, likely leaving it out. Never needed a mid control on a Sadowsky, so probably a waste for me.

Candy Apple Orange is my favorite color on my two babies :)

The 4 string is a UV60 with one piece full alder body and a gorgeous Brazilian rosewood board and single coil pup's in 60's position.
The 5 string is a UV 70 (with a chambered two pieces alder body and a flamed maple board and humcanceling pup's in 70's position.

Two very complementary/different basses !

Thanks for the photos! I am going for a matching headstock, as well, so special thanks for the UV60 pic! I'm opting for an ebony board, so that dark Brazilian rosewood is pretty close, aesthetically.
