Or borrow a REAL camera, says the bassist who also was a photo enthusiast and owns Leica and Nikon digital cameras. OK, I'm a little biased towards people referring to their phones and ipads as "cameras".

Edit: I see you did mention Dcam. And yes, lighting makes a lot of difference.

Before we got into this Corona lockdown, I was a few months into a new Satin order, one of the last. I went for a 4-21 Jazz with single coils, Vintage Shoreline Gold, Morado w/ White Blocks and a Tort guard. It might take a little extra time now.
Edit: My two current Sadowskys, and I seem to favor the P/J also.

I'm sure this comparison has been covered, multiple times in this forum...

When I was at Bass San Diego in August, I believe it was John (I'm terrible with names) said something about Sadowskys being great instruments but that Foderas were completely different instruments. I got the sense that he was implying that they were better. I wish I could remember exactly what he said, but it was along those lines.
I've had 2 Sadowskys so far (Metro Modern 5, and a Metro Will Lee), and they have by far the best basses I've ever owned, the Will Lee especially. I've got a Fodera (Monarch Standard Classic) on the way so I can see what all the hype is about. I played on a Monarch a couple years ago at Ish Guitars and really dug it.

Just curious what you seasoned Sadowsky cats have to say about the comparison.

Yeah, both top of the game basses for what they are, but definitely different instruments. The Sadowsky basses of course are pretty specifically designed to be the best of the best "Fender-ish" thing out there. That's not at all what Fodera is going for. They have their own sound, and pride themselves on versatility, but they don't target the Fendery thing at all. There's a good chance you'll simply keep both if you have gigs that call for both, but if you're more strictly about the Fendery thing, you'll probably end up reselling it (as I did mine).

Well, Foderas are more expensive. Not that I'm cynical about the salesman's agenda. ;)

Vic covered it well: Sadowsky and Fodera have different goals. I've owned a wide variety of boutiques, but eventually realized that I wanted Fender-style appearance and comfort along with a modern take on the Fender tone -- so, Sadowsky is perfect for me. Fodera also makes great instruments, but most are modern across the board -- not my thing, but there are other folks who prefer it.
