I seriously feel really blessed/fortunate to own these two Sadowsky’s! :) The necks on both are super stable year around, too!

FedEx delivered my Verdine White Vintage Satin Series and it ws everything I thought it would be and more. Roger did his usual magic on the setup using the notes that I included with the order , it plays great and sounds awesome. When the Covid restrictions allow I will take a short drive to the shop to have my RV Merto tweeked , it needs a fret dressing and overall going over , Roger also told me during our phone conversation to bring the VM in if it need anything else done to it ......it doesn't . I know on TB no pics no new bass , sorry I look a bit scruffy I was working in the yard when it got here. Like I said in an earlier post this was my wife's doing , she said order what ever you want , I kept it reasonable.

Maybe an odd question:
What is the default factory position of stacked treble/bass pot markers at zero? I set them so that the markers at zero position are pointing to the same direction as volume, pan and VTC knob markers. It is easy for me to see if I am adding 10, 15 or 20% of bass. But I wonder what is default position from the shop. On pictures of new basses I otfen see these markers pointing down. In that case you really can't readily "see" how much bass you have added. What is your experience?

I have my bass knob set so that when it's in the sweet spot, the dial is visible (once it's there I don't touch it) ... treble so that when it's all the way up it's pointing at me (easier to tell how much to back off) ... VTC so that when it's all the way rolled off the dial is pointed at me ... and basically a variation on that with the volume/blend knobs.

I'm in the same camp as you. Nice to have that visual reference. So that I don't have to make noise pre-show to find my spots. 99% it sounds perfect that way.

I've always adjusted the control knobs to make sense to me regardless. Blend and VTC knob straight down is center. That makes the blend knob work for me: pan to the rear is the bridge panning to the neck is the neck pickup. Volume and Treble and Bass point forward or slightly up is OFF.

My own view of the blend knob is to look at it as a mid knob, which is what it sounds like to me when it begins to favor the bridge pickup as you pan forward. Or the 'turn up that Jaco' knob. But ... I'm a strange customer.
